About Focal

Focal is a stop motion animation studio built around one obsession: making things that are impossible to forget. We work with brands to bring products and ideas to life — frame by frame.

We create stop motion animations for toy companies, electronics brands, beverage companies, EDC companies, agencies and service brands. If the idea is ambitious, we're interested.

Why Stop Motion

We're living in a time where everything looks the same. We've put so much emphasis on "optimization" that we ended up outsourcing creativity entirely.

Algorithms and artificial intelligence are eroding our ability to be moved, to discover, to create. We believe real value comes from the effort and intention behind the work. A brand, a product, a story — each one is unique and awesome because they were conceived by a human mind, for human eyes.

Every frame is a decision. Every second of film is earned. The result is work that people feel — not just content that fills a feed.

What's the Goal?

This studio was built to make animated films.

It started with product photography, then evolved into stop motion — and from the moment it did, the direction became clear. We are currently taking client work and developing our own creative projects. We'll grow, make shorts, and eventually reach the big screen.

Founder & Director

I'm Guillermo Quintero Reyes, the person behind Focal. An animator and creative director born in Colombia, and based in Figueres, Spain — working with brands across Europe, Asia, and the US.

I built this studio because stop motion is the one medium that refuses to be rushed. Every project that comes through here has my full attention, from concept to final version.
